The ground-breaking 1960 Modernization and Mechanization (M & M) Agreement was debated in caucuses, conferences and membership meetings throughout the west coast prior to the signing of the agreement. Here, ILWU President Harry Bridges discusses the proposed contract before a meeting of Local 10 in San Francisco.
